KULPMONT – Volunteer fire fighters stopped a house fire in Kulpmont early Monday morning.
Northumberland County 911 operators said they dispatched several emergency crews to Lamplight Acres around 12:30 a.m. Monday for a house fire.
Emergency services said the house was unoccupied and firefighters were able to control the blaze without further damage to other structures in the area, clearing the scene by 3 a.m.
They said EMS from area services joined fire crews from Kulpmont, Mount Carmel, Mount Carmel Township and Shamokin.
