Monday Road Report: Detours, Lane Restrictions This Week

VALLEY – Keep an eye out for PennDOT maintenance crews . . . The state Department of Transportation is advising of some expected travel delays this week.

Herndon Bypass, Jackson Township, Northumberland County – Tuesday, June 21 to Monday, June 27

PennDOT announced lane restrictions along the entire length of Herndon Bypass Road (Route 3006) from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. starting Tuesday. They said a U-drain project is expected to be completed the following Monday, weather permitting.

Old Route 15 White Deer Township, Union County – Wednesday, June 22 to Friday, July 15

PennDOT said a water main project on Old Route 15 (Route 1011) will cause single lane conditions between the intersection with Route 642 and the northbound on-ramp of Route 15. They said the project should be finished by Friday, July 15, weather permitting.

Cooper Township, Montour County – Tuesday, June 21 to Friday, June 24

PennDOT says a pipe-replacement project along Bloom Road (Route 2008) will require a detour utilizing Woodbine Lane (Mahoning Township), Route 11 and Tower Drive (Montour Township).

They said Bloom Road will be closed between Tower Drive and Steltz Road and work is expected to be completed by Friday, weather permitting.
