NORTHUMBERLAND – A Herndon man was critically injured after he was shot in the throat Friday afternoon.
WBRE reports state police and EMS were called to the scene at 300 block of Jackson Township Road at 3pm on Friday following a 911 call which said the victim was shot in the throat and had trouble breathing. No information about the victim or the incident has been released yet but WBRE reports the Northumberland County Coroner and PSP Forensic Unit arrived later in the day to investigate the incident. They report the shooting appears accidental.
