Susquehanna Greenway Cleanup Needs Volunteers
SUNBURY – In celebration of Earth Week, the Susquehanna Greenway Partnership is publicizing some events and looking for volunteers for cleanups along the Susquehanna River. Other activities are also planned.
The first event will be in Selinsgrove this Friday from 4-8 p.m. at the Rotary Field on Broad Street, for the Citizen’s Climate Lobby. There will be displays, information and activities, food, music, and more.
A cleanup event will also be held in Sunbury this Sunday at 9:30 a.m., led by the Susquehanna River Cleanup Committee. Volunteers will meet at the Sunbury boat launch near the intersection of Second Street and Route 147 in Sunbury. Groups will then disperse into marked territories.
