$2.3 Million in Grants to Be Given To Colleges

HARRISBURG – The state has announced over $2 million in grant money will be given to colleges, including Bucknell University, if they are involved with local manufacturing companies.

The grant will be split up among 36 student projects from 17 different colleges involved in partnerships with local manufacturing companies. Some of the colleges that will be given the money include Bucknell University, University of Pittsburgh and Lehigh University, among others.

The funding was authorized by Governor Wolf and will be awarded through the Manufacturing PA initiative which aims to promote growth and innovation for several sectors of manufacturing.
