WASHINGTON D.C. – U.S. Congressman Dan Meuser (R-9th, Dallas) was part of an hour-long bipartisan congressional briefing Friday morning where President Zelensky of Ukraine spoke.
In a news release following the briefing, Meuser announced he was co-sponsoring a bill which would cut off Russian imports of oil. Meuser revealed this was at the request of President Zelensky to strain Russia.
Other details Meuser shared from the briefing with Zelensky was the Ukraine military’s need for equipment to counter Russian tanks and plans. Despite Ukraine’s ability to fend off Russian soldiers, Ukraine’s military is in dire need of anti-tank and anti-aircraft support. Meuser says this support must be delivered immediately and ‘time is of the essence.’
