UPDATE: Body Found, State Police Investigating Circumstances

MONROE TOWNSHIP, SNYDER COUNTY –  State Police said they were called to North Susquehanna Trail Road around noon Friday to investigate the death of a man found along Penn’s Creek. The body was found near the so-called Green Bridge which carries Route 522 in Selinsgrove.

Police have not yet released the identity of the man, but Snyder County Coroner William Pheasant tells WKOK the out-of-state resident was in his mid-twenties.

He says an autopsy is scheduled for Monday at Lehigh Valley Hospital. Pheasant said the body was on the creek bank only a short time before being discovered and he said state police are conducting an intensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

No additional details are out on this investigation.
