Police: Toxicology Proved Controlled Substances, DUI Charged
WATSONTOWN – A Watsontown man faces two misdemeanor charges after police say he hit a pedestrian while driving under the influence…with a child in the vehicle.
Watsontown Police say they were dispatched to the 400 block of Liberty Street the morning of September 16 to investigate injuries sustained by a 13-year-old boy who had been struck by a vehicle while trying to board the school bus. Police say the boy was transported by ambulance to Evangelical for treatment of his injuries.
Police announced formal DUI charges against 28-year-old Tyler Carter of Watsontown after receiving toxicology reports, which they said confirmed Carter had controlled substances in his system at the time of the incident. He faces two charges of driving under the influence, which have been filed with MDJ Michael Diehl in Milton.
