LEWISBURG – In the Lewisburg area Sunday morning, state and local police say they arrested a Lock Haven man after he broke into a supermarket and may have been trying to break into a home.
Milton troopers say the Lewisburg Weis Market was burgled around 2:30am Sunday after someone threw a rock through a glass door. Then several hours later, police got a call about a man who was at a home on Verna Road in the Lewisburg area.
Arrested then was 33-year-old Cody Stern of Lock Haven, they charged him with various criminal counts and he was arraigned and jailed in Union County in lieu of $50,000 bail.
Troopers say they had assistance from Buffalo Valley Regional Police, Milton, Mifflinburg, Point Township and Watsontown police departments along with Union County Sheriff’s office. (Deanna Force)
