LEWISBURG – The Buffalo Valley Recreation Authority will hold its 2nd Annual Gala in February. Stacy Sommerfield, executive director of BVRA says the gala benefits the 2016 capital campaign, “Last year the gala was for the pool, this year the gala, all of our proceeds from that, will go toward children’s programming for local kids.”
Sommerfield says the Warming House needs some renovations as it is the home of Nature’s Cool Preschool and other programs, “A lot of people may or may not know that we run a five-day-a-week nature pre-school style program out of our Warming House, which is at the ice rink.”
The gala will be February 27 at the Cellars at Brookpark. Tickets are $55 each or you can purchase a table for $400, “That includes a cocktail hour with appetizers and a dinner and dancing and dessert and entertainment. We also provide free childcare on a limited basis.”
