Sue Greene and Mary Beth Clark, League of Women Voters of the Lewisburg Area, on their upcoming ‘How to Run for Public Office’ workshop. The event is Nov. 17, 8-3, at the Union County Government Center and they’ll discuss why the LWVLA has these workshops, why should citizen’s run for public office, who should attend, the speakers and the topics covered.
Regarding the event, the League says: “A daylong event that is planned for those citizens who are thinking of running for public office now or in the future. Six sessions are planned that will include speakers who are politicians, campaign managers, and others with real life experience in running for office. One of the sessions will include Election Board officials to tell you about the legalities and procedures of running for office.” Info at www.lwvlewisburgarea.org.
