UPDATE: A limited number of thunderstorms did impact The Valley Thursday night. No widespread damage was reported and thus far, no tornadic activity has been reported.
SUNBURY – A tornado watch has been issued for our area until late tonight, with strong to severe thunderstorms expected to hit later this afternoon into this evening.
The National Weather Service in State College says the watch is for parts of New York and Pennsylvania, including all Valley counties until 11 PM EDT.
The National Weather Service says scattered two-inch sized hail and 70 mph wind gusts could also be included in these storms.
