SHAMOKIN DAM – A Sunbury woman is jailed after admitting to beating her two children with a belt. Court documents say charged is 32-year-old Nijah Davis with endangering the welfare of children and other charges.
Court documents say the incident occurred March 7, prior to the start of a school day; local school administrators contacted Children and Youth Services, who contacted police.
Davis then later admitted to police she hit the children with the belt several times due to an argument over a phone and school attendance.
Davis is now in Snyder County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail pending a preliminary hearing April 1.
