MIFFLINBURG – The cause of death for the Mifflinburg murder-suicide case last weekend has now been released. Union County Corner Dominick Adamo said Wednesday 64-year-old Tharifah Wenrich was killed from a knife wound, and 63-year-old Jeffery Wenrich died via a self-inflicted gunshot.
Mifflinburg Police said earlier this week their investigation revealed Jeffrey Wenrich killed his wife, then died by suicide. The couple was found dead by a family member sometime between last Saturday evening and Sunday morning in their home.
Officers say a motive is still unknown, but they are still investigating, hoping to find one.
