Selingrove Pool Season Starts This Weekend
SELINSGROVE – It’s always a summer favorite in Selinsgrove and its back with some new looks. The Selinsgrove Pool opens for the season Saturday, including free admission Monday, Memorial Day.
Karen Buch is a board member at the pool, “So noon-7 p.m. that whole weekend, and we’re excited about that. We’ll close though between the 30th and the 1st and we’ll reopen for the season Friday, June 2.”
She says the pool’s capital campaign and refurbishing projects are completed, resulting in a new splash pad ready for use, “It’ll be up and running as of the start of the pool season and we had replaced the kiddy pool that was no longer operational. So it’s fully accessible for even children who might have a disability. It has interactive fountains, sprayers, waterfalls, dump buckets and even a Selinsgrove Seal that spouts water.”
There are also new diving boards ready for use as well.
In addition, Buch says swim lessons are available this year June 26-30 and July 10-14. Space is limited and cost is $25 per person. They’ll also have water aerobics, SCUBA lessons, they’re available for parties and rentals, and they again have food from ‘Bella’s.
