A proposed pedestrian project is being discussed in Lewisburg, which would connect the RiverWoods Senior Living Community Campus with WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital. Asbury RiverWoods Executive Aaron Barth attended the Union County public workshop meeting on Tuesday to seek a letter of support for the project along with Penn Strategies Vice President of Grant Administration. The RiverWoods Downtown Lewisburg Connector Initiative is part of a grant funding effort that would connect the senior living campus with the area near Wolfe Field and the hospital campus on Route 15. Barth said no money has been secured for the project at this time, but they are applying for grants. The project would be funded in phases according to Barth.
