PennDOT has a CSVT Update

Montoursville, PA – Work continues on the Southern Section of the Central Susquehanna Valley Transportation (CSVT) project in Snyder County.

Walsh Construction Company II, LLC. will continue work on the bridge that will carry the CSVT over Route 1020 (Grangers Road) as well as the bridges along the future Route 61 Connector.

On Friday, April 5, 2024, the contractor will begin placing a concrete barrier on the shoulder along Route 1019 (Eleventh Avenue) between Weatherfield Drive and Millers Drive in preparation for work on the bridge that will carry CSVT over Eleventh Avenue. Motorists can expect single lane conditions with flagging while the contractor places the barrier along the shoulder.  The shoulder will be closed along Eleventh Avenue until the fall of 2024.

Earthwork is still ongoing on the Southern Section of the CSVT. Trumbull Corporation, will continue blasting operations needed to perform excavation throughout the project. Blasting can usually be expected between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM Monday through Friday. Typically, there will only be a single blast per day in a work area. Earthwork operations including blasting are expected to be completed during the summer of 2024 with all work on the contract to be completed in 2025.
