PAXINOS ― The News Item is reporting… A Paxinos man has been charged by state police with raping, assaulting and strangling a woman at his home Thursday morning. The newspaper reports, 42-year-old Dennis Kodack Jr., of Irish Valley Road, was arraigned by video at 9 a.m. Friday by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III on felonies of rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, strangulation (two counts) and aggravated assault, and misdemeanors of simple assault (two counts) and indecent assault. The newspaper reports…The charges were filed by Trooper Raymond Snarski, of state police at Stonington, relating to incidents that occurred between 9:45 and 11:15 a.m. at Kodack’s residence. Police said Kodack, who was committed to Northumberland County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail, and the victim argue before physically fighting. The victim said she was attempting to leave the home when Kodack poured urine from a container in the bathroom on her.
The paper said, Police said Kodack and the victim then wrestled outside a bedroom before ending up on the floor inside a bedroom, where Kodack allegedly lifted up the victim’s green hooded shirt and tore her bra. According to an affidavit of probable cause, Kodack who had asked the victim for sex prior to the altercation, threw the victim onto a bed, got on top of her and gripped her neck while placing one hand over her mouth, making it difficult to breathe. Police reported Kodack then forced the victim to perform oral sex on him for approximately 30 seconds. The victim told police she performed oral sex on Kodack to prevent him from further strangling her. Police said the victim suffered a laceration on the left side of her nose, a contusion above her left eye, reddening on the left side of her neck and abrasions on her left shoulder. The victim then left the home and drove directly to Shamokin Police Department to report the incident. Shortly before noon, Shamokin police contacted state police about the incident since it occurred in their jurisdiction. Upon being interviewed at 4:46 p.m. Thursday at the state police station, Kodack denied any wrongdoing. He claimed the victim willingly performed oral sex on him and was responsible for urine getting on both of them. He also claimed the victim became physical with him.
