HARRISBURG — Millions of dollars in state funding is coming to communities across the 23rd state senatorial District.
State Senator Gene Yaw says $6.2M is awarded through the DCED’s Neighborhood Assistance Program. Sen. Yaw says the money will help assist low-income residents, address food insecurity, and support community revitalization efforts.
The program provides tax credits to businesses that invest in nonprofit projects focused on housing, food access, workforce development, and economic growth.
Funding includes $50,000 for the Bucknell SBDC, $3,200 for the Sullivan County Food Pantry, and $82,000 for the Loyalsock Foundation. $5.6 million of the funding went to Lycoming County for the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank.
Funding was also allocated in Lycoming County, $39,000 is for the New Love Center in Jersey Shore, $7,100 for American Rescue Workers, $210,000 for Geisinger Foundation, $36,000 for Lycoming County SPCA and $67,000 for STEP, Inc. Bradford County recipients include the Endless Mountains Mobility Alliance $67,000, and ‘Rekindle the Spirit, Inc’ $9,900.
