PA Game Commission Hosting Game Land Tours

HARRISBURG – The Game Commission said they’ve got eight tours set up over the next three weeks, and some of the visits are in our region. October 15, they’ll be a tour on state game land 252, which encompasses parts of Union and Lycoming County in the Allenwood area.

That tour is from 9am to 1pm and all members of the public are invited; they say it will focus on the widely varied habitat, the water impoundments there, managed dove fields, woodcock management areas, and visitors will see the remnants of a World War II-era military installation and a historical town.

The Game Commission said they want to showcase the work they are doing and how it benefits hunters and wildlife. There will also be tours in Bradford, Wyoming, Luzerne, Berks and Dauphin Counties. More information at pgc.pa.gov.
