NWS: Wind Advisory in Effect in Region

STATE COLLEGE – The State College Nation Weather Service is issuing a Wind Advisory across the Susquehanna Valley and surrounding regions for this evening into Thursday morning.

The National Weather Service says the advisory stared at 3pm and will last until 7am Thursday morning in Juniata, Franklin, Tioga, Lycoming, Sullivan, Union, Snyder, Montour, Northumberland, Columbia, Perry, Dauphin, Schuylkill, Lebanon, Cumberland, Adams, York, and Lancaster counties.

The National Weather Service says to expect West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected and that the winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
