Newcomer Announces Candidacy for PA House District 85

UNION COUNTY – A newcomer is running for the 85th District of the Pennsylvania House. Nick Jacobson is running as a Democrat.

He graduated from Lewisburg Area School District and then from Yale in 2023, where he majored in Ethics, Politics, and Economics.

Jacobson begins his campaign with extensive experience in Harrisburg and Washington, D.C. He has worked at Pennsylvania’s Department of Health on rural health care and the Auditor General’s

Office on funding for public schools. In the summer of 2023, Jacobson interned in Senator Casey’s Washington, D.C. office, working on his judiciary team.

According to a press release, Nick Jacobson is a 2019 U.S. Presidential Scholar, 2019 National Merit Scholar, and 2018 Calvin Coolidge Foundation Senator.

Nick Jacobson has been recognized locally with awards and honors from the Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Shikelimo Chapter of the Daughters of

the American Revolution, the Union Township (Union County) Fire Company, the Woodmen of the World, the Lewisburg Area League of Women Voters, the American

Chemical Society, and the Perry County Council of the Arts.
