Michael Stender Announces Bid for Reelection

SUNBURY, PA –State Representative Michael Stender formally announced his bid for reelection in Pennsylvania’s 108th District. He is seeking the Republican nomination in the April 2024 primary Election. The district includes a portion of Northumberland County and all of Montour County.

Rep. Stender is a lifelong resident of Sunbury, husband, and father of three daughters. He has opposed the liberal House Majority’s effort to promote and expand abortion in Pennsylvania.  He has also strongly defends Second Amendment rights and the pro-sportsmen way of life.

Rep. Stender’s community involvement and leadership experience extend beyond his work as a legislator and first responder. He served as a member of the Shikellamy School Board and as a committee member for the Boy Scouts of America Susquehanna Council Troop 331. He is a former EMS System Coordinator for the Susquehanna EHS Council.

The 108th State House District includes all of Montour County and  the city of Sunbury; and townships of  Delaware, East Chillisquaque, Lewis, Point, Rockefeller, Rush, Turbot, Upper Augusta and West Chillisquaque; and the boroughs of McEwensville, Milton, Northumberland, Riverside, Snydertown, Turbotville and Watsontown in Northumberland County.
