Girl Scout Troop Donates to Kelsey’s Dream and Camp Dost

HUGHESVILLE – is reporting… When you need a sweet snack, what hits the spot? Girl Scout cookies!  Troop 62026 of Hughesville had this in mind when they donated cookies to two charitable foundations. The girls collected donated boxes of cookies to distribute to Kelsey’s Dream and Camp Dost.

On May 10, the girls of Troop 62026 met up with Kelsey’s Dream founders, Kylie, and Tina Kuhns; to give them donated Girl Scout cookies they collected this cookie season.

Jenifer Starr, co-leader of Troop 62026 said, “Everyone was excited (and shocked) to learn that these girls were able to donate 19 cases (228 boxes!) of cookies to Kelsey’s Dream…Kelsey’s Dream will distribute the cookies to the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital as part of their Snack Pack program.”

Kelsey’s Dream is a nonprofit volunteer organization that provides comfort to children undergoing cancer treatment by supplying a play therapy toy named “Hopper the Cancer Crusher.”
