Former Union Township Deputy Fire Chief ‘Skippy’ Anderson Has Died

WINFIELD – A long-time member of the Union Township Fire Company has died. According to an obituary provided by the family, former Deputy Chief Steve ‘Skippy’ Anderson died Saturday at Evangelical Community Hospital. He was 63.

Anderson served with the fire company since he was a junior member in 1975 and most recently served as Deputy Chief and Vice President. He was also a lifetime member and past Assistant Chief at William Cameron Engine Company in Lewisburg. Anderson also worked as an Assistant Manager at Sherwin Williams in Sunbury for 47 years, and was President of the Susquehanna River Water Fowlers Association.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, December 18 at the Union Township Fire Company in Winfield.
