Former Sunbury Officer Sues City Over Allegations

SUNBURY — A former Sunbury police officer and city security contractor is suing Sunbury and a former employee. The News Item is reporting… Keith Tamborelli claims false misconduct accusations cost him work and left his company with unpaid bills.

Tamborelli filed the complaint in Northumberland County Court, denying allegations of inappropriate touching and improper camera placement. His lawsuit alleges the accusations were defamatory and led the city to end his work.

The newspaper reports Tamborelli also claims Sunbury owes his company about $31,000 for completed work, plus late fees. He is seeking more than $50,000 in damages on each of three claims.  Attorneys for Tamborelli and the city were unavailable for comment.
