Fire Prevention and Safety Event At White Deer Community Park

WHITE DEER – The community will have the chance to learn about fire prevention and safety and see live demonstrations next week at White Deer Community Park. The park says it’s hosting a Fire Prevention and Fire Safety Event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, October 14.

The park says there will be a fire extinguisher training at 10:15 a.m., a Life Flight landing at 11 a.m., a K9 demonstration at noon, and a live Grease Fire demonstration at 12:30.

The park says there will also be hands-on fire hoses to use, and the public will be able to see fire trucks, rescue trucks, ambulances and police cars.

There will also be a food and beverage stand, along with 70th anniversary items for purchase, as well as safety and security products.

Proceeds will be used for upcoming park projects, including new playground equipment, and upgrades to the building and park facilities.
