Fire in Shamokin Ruled Suspicious

SHAMOKIN — A Monday fire in Shamokin has been ruled as suspicious. The News Item says the fire Monday morning that damaged an abandoned four-story apartment building was reported around 9:15 at 26 S. Market St. Fire crews were at the scene for about three hours on Memorial Day. That building was previously marked unfit for human habitation. Scott Adams, of Sunbury owns the structure which has been occupied at times by vagrants according to local police.
