SUNBURY — The Daily Item is reporting… An insider is taking the helm at Shikellamy. The board voted 8–1 night to promote assistant superintendent Jeremy Winn to superintendent at $140,000 a year, officials said. The newspaper says Winn has served as assistant superintendent for 2 years.
Former Superintendent Jason Bendle resigned in late May to lead Berwick Area. Ten candidates were interviewed; 6 returned for second rounds. Directors met Sept. 17 in executive session and choose Winn. Winn starts immediately under a contract running through 2030. He said he’s honored to serve and believes in the district’s future.
