Danville Area Woman Repeats as President of Firefighters Association

DANVILLE – A Danville area woman will again serve as President of the Firefighters Association of the State of Pennsylvania.  Danville Fire Department Public Information Officer Deanna Force, current Senior Vice President of FASP, will be sworn in this Friday during the co-conference of the FASP (Firefighters Association of the State of Pennsylvania) and Pennsylvania Fire and Emergency Services Institute in Camp Hill.

Force is only the second person in the over 130-year history of the Association to serve a second time as President.

She went through the chairs and was elected as President the first time in 2018.

Deanna serves locally with the Danville Fire Department and Southside Fire Company, Danville Firemen’s Relief Association, Riverside Firemen’s Relief Association, Central District Volunteer Firemen’s Association.

She’s also part of the Six County Mark Coons Memorial Scholarship program now run through the Community Giving Foundation, since Six County Firemen’s association disbanded.  Force is one of the first female ducklings as part of the former Six County Firemen’s Association Lame Ducks as well, which remained active when the organization disbanded.
