(Middleburg, PA) — The Snyder County Coalition for Kids is pleased to announce the agenda for its annual conference to be held at Susquehanna University on December 14th from 8:00 am to 11:30 am. This year’s conference promises to inform and inspire everyone in our community who has kids or works with kids. Dr. Pat Bruno from the Geisinger Child Advocacy Center will give remarks reflecting on his career evaluating and treating victims of child abuse. Dave Murray from Clarity Prep Youth Mentoring will be speaking on how to help kids approach life “like a champion.” Mark Brennan, Ph.D., from Penn State University will present on the legacy of Fred Rogers and how it informs empathy and well-being.
The Snyder County Coalition for Kids is a registered nonprofit organization whose mission is to foster safe and healthy communities for children in Snyder County and beyond. Among other initiatives, the Coalition operates the Meals for Seals and Meals for Mustangs food programs, organizes the annual Snyder County Night Out event, and hosts an annual training conference.
