Bomb Threat Investigation Underway At Danville State Hospital

MAHONING TOWNSHIP — State police are still investigating a bomb threat at Danville State Hospital.  Police say the incident was reported  evening around 7pm at the facility on Kirkbride Drive.

State police say an unknown male called police claiming three bombs were planted inside the hospital.  Authorities say earlier that day, a current patient expressed dissatisfaction with the facility and wanted to call 911.

State police say no explosive devices were found after a search of the hospital.  Investigators say the case remains active and criminal charges are expected to be filed later.
