DANVILLE — A bomb threat prompted a police and fire response night near Danville State Hospital. State police say the threat was reported just after 7pm at the facility. State police responded and closed State Hospital Drive at Wall Street.
State Police in Shickshinny contacted Milton State Police after they received a call from an unknown male stating that he planted three bombs at the Danville State Hospital. Earlier in the day, it was learned that a current patient stated he wanted to call 911 due to no being happy with the facility. No explosive devices were found and police say there was no danger to the public.
The investigation is ongoing and criminal charges will be coming at a later time.
