Bloomsburg Block Party Patrols Arrest Man on Weapons Charges

BLOOMSBURG — NorthcentralPA.com is reporting… A convicted felony was reportedly caught with a gun at a police checkpoint during Block Party weekend in Bloomsburg.  Friday, officers were conducting a DUI checkpoint on Lightstreet Road. Around 8:30 p.m. police stopped a vehicle and allegedly noticed an odor of marijuana.

After an investigation, officers were granted consent to search the vehicle, where they found drugs. The occupants of the vehicle were also searched, and police discovered one of the passengers, Victor M. Pichardo-Figueroa, had a gun in his waistband, according to charges.

Pichardo-Figueroa was also found to be on adult probation in Lehigh County. A records check showed Pichardo-Figueroa to be a convicted felon, making it illegal for him to possess a firearm.
