Fugitive Finally Caught
SHAMOKIN – A Danville man has been captured, police say he rammed his truck into a police cruiser and accelerating towards an officer recently.
Shamokin police tell us, Monday around 4pm, US Marshals took Jarrett Castelonia into custody in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Local police tell us, May 24, Castelonia slammed his truck into a police car multiple times while attempting to escape, and they say he sped toward an officer. While the police were in pursuit, Castelonia reached high speeds and attempts to block him were unsuccessful. The pursuit was halted for safety reasons.
Castelonia is being charged with criminal attempt to commit murder of a law enforcement officer, aggravated assault, and multiple other charges.
