House Scam Has Woman Out $4,100
WEST CHILLISQUAQUE TOWNSHIP, NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY – A Milton woman is out $4,100 after she was scammed trying to rent a house. Milton state police say the incident was reported Tuesday and are still investigating.
Troopers say there was an online post that lured the victim into believing she was renting a house. The unknown actors then accepted money from her via online transactions, but never provided keys to the home.
Anyone with information pertaining to the incident is asked to contact Milton troopers.
