Runaway Juvenile Found in Valley
WHITE DEER TOWNSHIP, UNION COUNTY – A runaway juvenile from western Pennsylvania was taken into custody along I-80 in the Valley over the weekend.
State police say they were notified to be on the lookout for a missing 16-year-old girl from Latrobe. Troopers say they then observed the teen’s vehicle along I-80 east in White Deer Township, Union County Sunday afternoon.
That’s when troopers say she failed to yield to their units for about 15 miles. Troopers say they deployed spike strips, but she stopped prior to hitting them and was then taken into custody. Troopers say charges were filed with juvenile probation for fleeing and eluding and the teen was released to her parents.
