Man Arrested for DUI After Hitting Two Utility Poles
JACKSON TOWNSHIP, NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY – A Sunbury man was arrested for DUI after a violent crash along Route 225 in Jackson Township, Northumberland County last week.
Stonington state police say 25-year-old Keith Elliott was arrested and suffered minor injuries from the crash just before 3 a.m. March 17.
Troopers say Elliott was driving south on Route 225 when he left the roadway, struck a utility pole, reentered the roadway, and then struck another utility pole. Troopers say his vehicle then became engulfed in flames, but Elliott was able to escape before the fire started. Troopers say Elliott was wearing his seat belt. He is facing DUI charges according to troopers.
