North Shore Railroad Starts Service in Snyder County
KREAMER – There has been a change in the rail service to Kreamer in Snyder County. PennLive reports North Shore Railroad ran its first train to Kreamer Wednesday. The rail lines were previously owned by Norfolk Southern. PennLive says North Shore Railroad is now calling the new rail service its Selinsgrove branch.
According to PennLive, the SEDA-COG Joint Rail Authority paid $371,000 for the nine miles of track in April, the line serves Selinsgrove and Shamokin Dam. Norfolk Southern provided service there since 1999.
