SELINSGROVE – A Selinsgrove woman is facing charges after providing false information to police during a traffic stop. Selinsgrove state police say the incident occurred October 6 just before 2:30 a.m. It occurred in Selinsgrove.
Troopers say 26-year-old Charisma Jakes gave a false name and date of birth to police during the traffic stop. State police say they then took Jakes into custody for identification.
Upon arriving at the Selinsgrove state police barracks, Jakes admitted to giving false information and told troopers her actual identity. She was then charged with illegally giving false information to law enforcement. An investigation is ongoing.
