‘Sounds of the Susquehanna’ coming up at the end of June


MILTON – Some of the best drum and bugle corps in the U.S. will compete in a showcase in Milton at the end of the month. ‘Sounds on the Susquehanna’ is coming to the Milton High School Alumni Field Stadium Saturday, June 23 at 7 p.m.


John Yuenling, co-chair, “its showmanship. A lot of maneuvering. It’s great music, sometimes classical music. It’s an absolutely fantastic show.”


The event will feature seven bands which have been ranked as some of the top corps in the east and the country, “We have the national champions from last year, the Reading Buccaneers. The White Sabers are the host corps. They came in the top five. The (Allentown’s) Cadets 2 once again, top corps. Fusion Corps is one of the top corps in the east, but everybody goes to drum corps competition to see Hawthorne Caballeros Alumni.”
