Police do say this, an unidentified 75-year-old woman was killed, and her husband is in the hospital, and a homicide occurred Saturday. Police say they won’t disclose the name of the people until they tell the families involved. They say the female victim was found dead on the living room floor, and the man, found unconscious in a nearby chair. Police say the grim discovery was made by an unidentified person who came to visit the occupants of the home. That person found no response when they arrived at the home and they went inside.

Selinsgrove officers received assistance from state and local police, the Snyder County coroner and the county district attorney. Selinsgrove police Chief Tom Garlock said an autopsy is scheduled for Monday at the Lehigh Valley Medical Center, and more details, and the names, may come out then. He noted that the public is not in any danger and they do have a ‘person of interest’ in the case.
