Penn Twp Supervisors authorize land for All Inclusive Playground

PENN TOWNSHIP – It’s officially a go to begin building the new all inclusive playground at East Snyder Park, near Selinsgrove. The Penn Township Board of Supervisors announced they have authorized the use of 9,600 square-feet of available land at the park.


Organized by the Andy Russell Charitable Foundation, the playground is designed exclusively for children who may have autism, intellectual, hearing or vision disabilities, Down Syndrome and other special needs.


The playground will include fifteen pieces of play equipment specifically designed for all disabled, multi-handicapped or other physically or mentally challenged children and some adults. Organizers tell us, an all-volunteer fund drive is currently underway to raise $475,000 to cover equipment and construction costs.
