SELINSGROVE – One of the snow plows, operating overnight in Snyder County, flipped over on an icy road. It happened in Penn Township, along Sand Hill Road, near the intersection with Airtower Road. Township roadmaster Isaac Ramer said the driver said he slid on ice on a curve, and ended up on an embankment. Then the plow flipped onto its side.
The driver was not injured and the plow will be removed after the storm. The incident happened around 3am. Snyder County 9-1-1 dispatched volunteer fire and ambulance crews as a precaution, and state police did the investigation. Ramer said the plow that overturned, was one of their older plows, and not a new truck, purchased recently.
