MUNCY TWP – The Lycoming Mall could be up for a sheriff’s sale, now owing thousands in unpaid water and sewer bills. WNEP reports the mall could be auctioned to the highest bidder in a sheriff’s sale next month if payments stop. WNEP says the mall owner has paid a portion of the outstanding sewer bill. Water employees tell the news station as long as payments keep coming in, they will be happy to cancel the scheduled sheriff’s sale scheduled for February 1.
In August, electricity at the mall was turned off. The mall claimed at the time there was an issue with a main power line, but tenants told WNEP the owner did not pay the electric bill. At this point, WNEP says tenants should not worry about water being turned off.
