SUNBURY – The Valley was affected by some high winds associated with a rain storm that came through Monday night and Tuesday morning. Central Columbia Schools have delayed their opening for Tuesday morning by 2 hours due to a power outage.
The Valley has seen roughly 1,400 power outages according to PPL, most heavily in Columbia and Northumberland counties with over 600 in each county as of 7am Tuesday morning.
According to Northumberland County Communications, falling tree branches caused by gusty winds during the rain storms overnight created these power outages. For all school closing or delay information, stay tuned to WKOK and WKOK.com. (Christopher Elio)
