DANVILLE — The former Danville Elementary school is slated to become a Montour County government center and the financing is falling into place. The Press-Enterprise says the Montour County commissioners agreed to issue a notice of intent to take out a debt service loan and advertise for bid proposals on the project.
The county plans to borrow up to $2.5 million to acquire and renovate the former school. The project will move all county offices and services from Woodbine Lane. Several offices should be moved by the end of this year. The two county buildings are scheduled to be sold.
