Election 2019: Jim Eister is running again for Sunbury City Council


SUNBURY – A longtime Sunbury City Council member tells WKOK, “We still have a lot of work to get done,” and he is seeking reelection. Jim Eister, who is a businessman in Sunbury, has been on council since 2004 and helps oversee the city’s involvement in Sunbury Celebration, River Festival and many other projects.


He has been the overseer of Sunbury’s various construction projects, including the Riverfront project, Chestnut Street reconstruction and many others. He is chair of the Parks and Recreation Committee, active at the Americus Hose Company and active in numerous other city, and local endeavors.
