WQKX – “Listener’s Choice Contest”

Official Rules

1.      Beginning Monday March 24, 2008 and running through Friday May 16, 2008, WQKX (94KX) will run a listener contest entitled “The 94KX Zimmerman Motors Listener’s Choice Contest”.  94KX will conduct the contest every weekday, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 AM and 6 PM, throughout the contest period, four times per day.

Here’s how the contest works:

A.     Listeners register online at WQKX.com from March 10, 2008 to May 15, 2008 by filling out the online form found here:

Only one entry is needed for the entire duration of the contest.  Multiple entries will be discarded, and we’ll keep the most recent entry submitted. 

C.    During the contest period, 94KX will select 4 entrants per day at random and announce their name on 94.1 WQKX.

D.    After we announce the registrant’s name, that person will have 9 minutes and 41 seconds to call us at 800-326-94KX.

E.     Official time will be kept by the 94KX on air operator.

F.     Only the registrant whose name we called may call in and no substitute may call in for them.

G.    If the registrant calls 94KX within the allotted time, they will instantly qualify to win our grand prize of a 2 year lease to 1 of 6 available vehicles from Zimmerman Motors and $2,000 “Cash in the Dash” from Swineford National Bank.

H.     When the qualifier calls, he/she will get to play “Listener’s Choice – Let’s Make a 94KX Deal” where they will be asked to pick 1 of 4 virtual car “doors” to open.  Once they pick a door, 94KX will reveal what qualifying prize they won, which could include:

                                                              i.      Cash prizes up to $1,000 in free money from Swineford National Bank.

Gift certificates to one or more of these businesses:

                                                            ii.      $50 gift certificate from Rebuck’s Meats

                                                          iii.      $50 gift certificate from Catherman’s Candy

                                                           iv.      $25 gift certificate from Burgundy’s

                                                           vi.      $50 gift certificate to Greek Isles Salon & Spa

                                                         vii.      $50 gift certificate to Schindler’s Studio

                                                           ix.      $25 gift card to Kleen Mist Carwash

                                                             x.      Susquehanna Valley Limousine all-day, 14 person, Hummer transportation

I.         Our grand prize will consist of the following:

                                                              i.      A 2 year/24,000 mile lease to a 2008 vehicle from Zimmerman Motors in Selinsgrove and Sunbury, PA. The Grand Prize Winner may choose from:

1.      Dodge Caliber

2.      Jeep Wrangler

3.      Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

4.      Dodge Dakota Crew Cab

5.      Dodge Charger

6.      Chrysler 300

                                                            ii.      $2,000 “Cash in the Dash” from Swineford National Bank, usable to help defray the costs of acquiring the grand prize vehicle.

J.      Vehicle winner is responsible for federal, state and local taxes, tags, registration fees and all vehicle maintenance expenses. Tax and PA registration fees are $1,634.22 and must be remitted to Zimmerman Motors before winner can take delivery of vehicle.  Winner must have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance. Exact specs of the vehicle are subject to change.

K.     One qualifier per person, per household.  Only 1 member from each immediate family or household can qualify or win any qualifying prize.

L.      Listener’s Choice Contest qualifiers will be eligible to win one of the grand prizes on May 16, 2008.  We’ll hold the drawing for the grand prize during a Grand Finale event at Zimmerman Motors.  Qualifiers must be present to win.

M.    Contestants must have valid PA identification to be eligible to win, and must present that to 94KX upon request.  Contestants must also bring their ID to the Grand Finale.

N.     94KX will register all eligible contestants at the Grand Finale on May 16, 2008 at 6 PM.  The giveaway will begin at 6:30 PM.

2.      Total number of qualifiers for the grand prize can vary, with the maximum amount possible being 160.

3.      No purchase necessary.  You must be 18 years of age or older by May 16, 2008 to be eligible to win any prize.

4.      Full and part time employees of Sunbury Broadcasting Corporation, any division of Zimmerman Motors, any location of Swineford National Bank, any employee of any business listed in item “H”, any other Listener’s Choice Contest promotional partner, or any other radio company, and their immediate families, are not eligible to participate in this contest.

5.      Cash winners must wait 7 business days to pick up their check at our main offices at 1227 County Line Road, Selinsgrove, PA.  Checks can be picked up weekdays between 9 AM and 5 PM and they must provide valid proof of their identity.

6.      After May 25, 2007, all major prizewinners in “Listener’s Choice Contest” must wait at least 90 days from their winning date to be eligible to win any other type of prize from 94 KX.

7.      Winners of all prizes, cash or otherwise, will be subject to IRS 1099 Reporting, and will be responsible for any applicable Federal, State and Local taxes.  1099 estimates for the 2 year leases are below.

8.      94 KX and Sunbury Broadcasting Corporation, their representatives and assigns will not be responsible for any claims, liabilities or damages arising out of or in conjunction with any prizes won in this contest.  All prizewinners relieve Sunbury Broadcasting Corporation, any division of Zimmerman Motors, Swineford National Bank, and any and all “Listener’s Choice Contest” promotional partners from such claims, liabilities and/or damages.

9.      All winners shall release to 94 KX and Sunbury Broadcasting Corporation the right to use any tape, photography or other voice transmission associated with this contest.  This may be done for any and all promotional purposes associated with this contest.

10. All phone calls to the 94KX contest lines, including: (570)286-7130 and 800-326-94KX are recorded for use on air at any time.

11. Sunbury Broadcasting Corporation cannot be held responsible for any malfunction of equipment or telephone systems during this contest.

12. “Listener’s Choice Contest” contestants must be present at the grand finale on May 16, 2008 until the contest is over, to win the grand prize.  Registration begins at 6:00 PM and the giveaway will start at 6:30 PM. 

13. Copies of the official rules for this contest are available at Sunbury Broadcasting Corporation’s main office located at 1227 County Line Road, Selinsgrove, PA, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM.

14. 94KX has final authority in all disputes.  94KX management’s decisions are final.

15. Anyone falsifying information, such as misrepresenting one’s age, identification, or other, will immediately disqualify them from winning any prize in the “Listener’s Choice Contest” contest.  Listeners cannot represent another person at the grand finale giveaway.

To Whom It May Concern: The information for the following vehicle choices is based on the incentives and residual/money factors is based on the availability as of February 2008. The sales tax for all 24 payments will be due by the award recipient at the time of acquisition as well as the registration fees (SET AT $118.50) and a lease disposition fee. These totals are subject to change and will be recalculated at the time of the award presentation.

ZIMMERMAN ENTERPRISES INC. WILL PROVIDE IRS 1099 TAX REPORTING FOR EACH TAX YEAR IN WHICH THE BENEFIT WAS REALIZED. THIS AMOUNT FOR 1099 TAX REPORTING WILL DIFFER DEPENDING ON WHICH VEHICLE IS CHOSEN BY THE RECIPIENT AND BY THE AMOUNT OF BENEFIT MONTHS IN EACH OF THE TAX YEARS.
