Steve is a
graduate of Shikellamy High

School and Penn State University. He started his broadcast career in
the middle of the 1986 wrestling season when veteran Sportscaster,
Duane Lemley was injured in an automobile accident. He has shared
the broadcast booth with, National Wrestling Champion and current
Shikellamy Wrestling Coach, Jeff Walter and former Braves Wrestling
coach and Hall of Famer Phil Lockuff. He has attended Shikellamy
football games and wrestling matches since the mid sixties and
wrestled for the Braves under Larry Sinibaldi and Phil Lockuff.
Steve has been active in the community, serving on the
Northumberland Recreation Committee. He was instrumental in the
adoption of a Girls Soccer program at Shikellamy and has been a Cub
Scout leader, a volunteer coach for wrestling, baseball, soccer and
yes, even basketball. A lifelong resident of the Valley he resides
in Northumberland with his wife Melinda, daughters Jessie who is a
two time Tri-County Girls Soccer League All-Star at goalie, Emily a
soccer midfielder and son Ryan who wrestles in the Shikellamy
program. |
